Side thoughts

In Japan, there’s no such thing as:
– badly tempered shop attendants
– a dirty car
– a french car
– free WIFI everywhere (to my great astonishment)
– barrier free access to a river (for camping)
– the letter ‘R’

Best things on this trip:
– Arriving at Landhaus zur Ohe (Germany)
– First night camping (Turkey)
– Being hosted by people you meet on the street (Georgia, Tbilisi and thereafter every once in a while)
– Surviving my first ‘off road day’ between Mestia ans Usghuli, Georgia
– All the people in Iran
– Iran
– The four days with Knut, Daniel and Laura
– Sleeping at the gaz crater in Darwaza, Turkmenistan
– Night drive through the streets of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan (surreal!)
– Having my jaw un-dislocated by Ryan 😉
– Entering Mongolia
– Sleeping under the stars in Mongolia
– Fixing my bike (fork seals etc) with very limited tools. Helping others with their bike problems
– The satisfaction of having crossed 18 rivers in one day
– Skinning and eating the Mongolian marmot
– Mongolia
– Catching salmon with a self made spear (Sakhalin)
– Smoking salmon on a self made smoking rack
– The first drive at night after entering Sakhalin. a Fresh see breeze on the face..
– Arriving in Japan (accompanied by a big yell inside my helmet)
– Dancing to the music whilst driving
– Being helped by people who you(and they) know, you will never return the favor

Worst things on this trip:
– 18/07
– Falling on the last day of driving. Bruising my ribs in the process… Crap…
-… I think that was it…

Things i should/could have done better:
– Arranging my luggage configuration
-…
